Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine

Oriental Medicine is a comprehensive medical system that has been used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses for over 5000 years. It, by itself is a Holistic system of Medicine because it emphasizes treating the core aspects of ones health:
• Acupuncture and Meridian Therapies
• Chinese Herbology
• Oriental bodywork therapies including moxa (heat therapy), cupping, Tui Na and Chi Nei Tsang
• Oriental Medicine diet and food therapy
• Meditation, exercise and chi (energy) cultivation “Chi Kung”
The practice of Oriental Medicine is based on a unique and profound theoretical system. The theory of Oriental Medicine explains how channels of energy run in certain orderly patterns throughout the body. Energy flows through the meridians to irrigate and nourish the internal organs and tissues. Any obstruction of this energy flow results in reduced energy, depletion of nutrients, and poor nervous signal transmission. Prolonged degradation within these vital pathways will lead to poor health and disease. Oriental Medicine strengthens one physically, psychologically and emotionally to help prevent disease, control pain, soothe and alleviate chronic conditions, and enhance the quality and longevity of life. Doctors of Oriental Medicine treat the root cause of an illness in addition to treating its associated symptoms.
Our goal is to maintain and/or restore harmony and balance in all parts of the human being and also between the whole human being and our surrounding environment. It is also our goal to educate our clients and give them tools to enhance their daily lives.
